We strive to...

  • Help people understand what local representatives responsibilities are and what they’re doing (or not doing) for you, and to share knowledge about what is happening with the NH budget, and our local economic concerns.
  • Work hard to bring our neighbors together, in understanding and working towards improving our community, through efforts in electing better leadership.
  • Find skilled and driven representatives to assist and support for 2026 local runs, and 2028, and to bring resources, engagement, and awareness, to all those interested and able to represent our party at any level. And those interested in protecting and developing the values we seek to provide our constituents.

Your Pembroke NH Democratic Committee

Kelly Studebaker

Serves as Chair, working towards trying to provide information, resources, and engagement to those interested in the party, recruiting talented potential representatives, and assisting in the growth and establishment of our town committee.

As an Airforce “brat” Kelly lived across many states in the US and had a lower middle-class, diverse, and educational upbringing full of music, literature, gardening, and nature. Currently she works for DHHS for NH State, and is a Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), serving in Afghanistan 2002/2003. Her passions are Labor Rights and Human Rights, including employee and social benefits, choice, due process, and equality. You’ll find her meandering national forests, camping, hiking, kayaking, swimming, reading, and writing.

Safiya Wazir

Serves as Vice-Chair, focusing on efforts regarding immigration support, Stronger Together collaboration,  and belongs to the Progressive Caucus.

Safiya has been a Pembroke NH resident since 2023, after moving here from Concord with her husband and their three children. She previously served two terms as a State Representative for Concord Ward 8. She is a strong advocate for families in the Granite State and strives to help as much as she can. Now, she is eager to engage with her new community and learn from all of you. Her goal is to help elect more Democrats from the ground up.

Mariana Beer

Serves as Secretary, and also as Secretary on the Democratic Latino Caucus, is a member of the Pembroke’s Budget Committee, and is Vice-President of a new Arts-Focused non-profit.
